ISN CEO Dave Perry Brings His Passion for the Investigative Side of Policing to Global News

as Their New Crime and Security Analyst

An expert on policing and crime matters, Investigative Solutions Network (ISN) CEO, Dave Perry, is ready to bring that expertise to the Global News team as their new Crime and Security Analyst.

He’s no stranger to helping audiences understand crime and policing issues, often called upon by news agencies to provide insight and analysis. Perry’s media experience includes participation in local and national news stories, documentaries, print publications and books.

And following a 42-year career as a private and police investigator, he remains passionate about the investigative profession, priding himself and his firm on delivering a standard of excellence to clients.

“I have always been intrigued by the investigative process, in fact it has been my life’s work, first as a police officer and later as CEO of ISN, helping to build a team of skilled investigators. I look forward to bringing this experience and expertise to the Global News team and their audience.”

The company of which Perry is the founding partner, is a private security and investigative services firm based in Pickering, Ontario. He has worked with partners and colleagues to establish the business as an industry leader in the field of investigations, focusing on a number of areas such as risk management, background screening, training, and more.

The team, he says, comprises of “former police leaders and experts from every field of law enforcement, including the most passionate in the profession.”

Perry’s service with Toronto Police gave him expertise in a number of investigative areas, a knowledge he now shares with Global News audiences.

Prior to ISN, Perry spent 28 years with the Toronto Police Service, where he was a decorated officer working on some of Canada’s most complicated and high-profile cases. Retiring as a Detective Sergeant, he spent most of his career as an investigator, establishing a level of expertise in homicide, sexual assault, and other violent crime cases.

The success of ISN, says Perry, is based on the ability of its team “to transition the unique skills learned as a police investigator into the private sector.” As Crime and Security Analyst for Global News, he will be using all that experience to enhance coverage of crime and security, helping audiences understand the various and deeper layers of a story.

As CEO, Perry has been instrumental in attracting an exemplary executive team and some of the leading investigative specialists in the country. His recent focus has been on business development and the expansion of ISN through both acquisitions and organic growth. He now looks forward to his role with Global News.

“I have always been passionate about policing, especially the investigative field. Working with the media and providing insight allows me the opportunity to share my passion of over four decades working in public and private policing.”
