Dan Foy
Senior Investigator and Business Development Consultant
Dan Foy is a Senior Investigator and Business Development Consultant with ISN and ISN Maskwa, joining the team in April 2024 after retiring as Chief of the Timmins Police Service in November 2023. With 29 years of service in the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Timmins Police Service, Dan brings extensive leadership, investigative, and strategic consulting expertise to his current roles.
Fluent in both French and English, he has built strong relationships with Northern and Indigenous communities, developing an understanding of their unique challenges and the importance of respectful engagement.
As one of only 15 critical incident commanders in the OPP, Dan gained invaluable experience in high-pressure situations, focusing on safety and team coordination. His investigative roles include Area Crime Supervisor, Unit Commander, and Regional Crime Coordinator, and he has received recognition for his leadership, including Commissioner’s Commendations and the OPP Accolade Award for Investigative Excellence.
Dan holds an Executive Certificate in Conflict Management from the University of Windsor's Faculty of Law, through the Stitt Feld Handy Group. This advanced training, combined with his practical experience, enables him to approach challenges with a strategic mindset and deliver effective solutions in both investigative and business settings.
He is committed to delivering results through a collaborative, solution-oriented approach, grounded in professionalism, respect, and community engagement.
Dan is an avid tennis player and loves to travel to new countries. He hopes one day to have visited every state in the US.
