Shawn Mahoney
Background Investigator
Shawn Mahoney works for ISN’s Northern Ontario Office where he is currently a primary investigator for clients requiring investigations in Corporate Investigations, Integrity Commissioner investigations, employment background screening and Criminal Case reviews.
Shawn brings thirty years of Law Enforcement experience to ISN investigations. Prior to his position with ISN, he was a police officer with the Toronto Police Service for 30 years where he spent a majority of his career as an investigator holding the rank of Detective. He was also involved in many investigations related to traffic fatalities and criminal driving offences.
Shawn is an accredited sexual assault investigator, trained interviewer and was a breathalyzer technician for many years. He has investigated many criminal cases including frauds, cyber-crime and workplace harassment investigations. He has testified at various levels of our court system, including Criminal Court, Civil Court, Superior Court and Coroner’s Inquests.
